Tigerwood Natural Solid Hardwood Flooring
Our Tigerwood Natural Solid Hardwood Flooring is a very hard wood (1850 on the Janka scale) with a close grain. Tigerwood's color variation ranges from moderate to very pronounced when it is exposed to intense light. Its dark reddish brown sapwood ranges toward dark red or orange-brown and is striped with randomly spaced blackish brown lines evocative of tiger stripes. Tigerwood shows full, rich color through the entire thickness of the wood, which helps to hide wear marks.
*This is an exotic species. All exotic species are known to patina or change color due to being highly photosensitive. The most dramatic change will occur in the first 3 months and can take up to a year to fully change. Your boxed or bundled material may be visibly lighter than your initial sample. Best practice is to leave all flooring exposed after installation so that natural light can start the patina effect. This patina will result in a richer deeper color that is highly desired.
